Penned a deal on friday to trade in my 2010 QX56 for a new 2013 QX56. Got everything in writing and told them I would let them know tomorrow (Monday) what I wanted to do. Just wanted to get some owners opinions on what I am looking at.

They are offering me $34,500 for my Silver/Grey 2010 2x4 QX56. It has the Theater package and 50,500 miles.

They will sell me a new 2013 White/Wheat 2x4 QX56 with Theater package for $59,500.

Do these numbers sound fair? Anyone else move from one generation of QX56 to another? How are you liking the new one?

Sounds like a (REAL) good deal... They gave you a real good deal on the trade-in IMO. If you could get them to knock off another $2k, then you have a steal.

They want to push the QX80 (former QX56) so you might wanna push the envelope a little more...

Have people really been able to pick up new 2013s for ~$55k? The sticker on the vehicle I am looking at is ~$68k...Theater and 22" wheel package. If people are finding them that cheap, where?

With the "new" QX80... they'll talk to you about taking the QX56, especially if it's a 4x2

Yes. I am aware of the "new" QX80...aka simply a name change (the exact same truck at the exact same MSRP). I can get one with the same options for ~$61.5k.

I am asking if you have actually heard of anyone getting a 2013 for the price you are suggesting or just speculating. I know they are willing to deal on the 2013s which I assumed was the reason I was offered it at more than $8k under sticker and around $4k under invoice.

I am in Florida so 4x2s are much more common than 4x4...no snow.

qx56 and qx80 are the same car. nothing different. please dont get caught up in marketing hype...

just bought QX80 sticker 80585 paid 73000 good or bad

if you can afford it, its good. enjoy knowing you have one of the best suvs on the market today.

Closed the deal on the new 2013 with theater package for $58,700 and getting $34,500 for the 2010 QX56 w/ 51k miles. I thought the price on the 2013 was fair, but the strong money for the trade is what really drove the deal.

Wow,thts amazing...i mean that in a, dealer is stupid type amazing...first they are pretty much giving you top dollar private sale trade in money and then still a good price for the 2013... Where ever you are people need to flock there and trade in and purchase...maybe they will allow me to trade in my 2011 for a brand new '13 straight up. :-)

My buddy is an infinity dealer and he said he wouldn't make that deal..great job

Thanks. I forgot to mention the '13 also has the 22" tire and wheel package.

I talked to a few other dealerships in the area and they were competitive on the price of the '13 but would not get within $4k of the trade. One of them told me to get off the phone and go buy it when I told them the deal he was competing with...lol.

Here are the details on the deal. Someone tell me how the dealership made money....

Purchase Vehicle: 2013 Infiniti QX56 w/ Theater and 22" Wheel/tire package

MSRP: $68,160
Invoice: $63,102
Sale Price: $58,700

Trade-In: 2010 Infiniti QX65 w/ Theater Package and 51,000 miles

ScreenShot2013-11-13at43833PM_zpsa0ce37e1.png

Trade-In value: $26,856
Dealer retail value: $30,511
Trade-In value given: $34,500

They did pay $299 for VIN glass etching which the dealership does on every vehicle :bat: and $199 for Key insurance which is reasonable considering past key losses and the cost of Infiniti replacement keys. I am sure these are almost pure profit, but were acceptable considering the rest of the deal.

The price also included a $1,000 discount for financing through Infiniti. It required at least $7,500 be finance. It can and will be payed off in full after 3 payments with no penalty. The financing was done purely for the discount.

The new '13 QX56 price was fair to strong, but the trade in value is what really drove the deal.

Summary:
New 2013 QX56 Sale Price: $58,700
2010 QX56 w/ 51k miles Trade-In value given: $34,500
Dealer add-ons $498

Actual net purchase price pre Tax, Tag, Title: $24,698

That's a pretty incredible deal. Looks like they really wanted your business. Congrats on a new car!

That's an awesome deal, I'm looking for a loaded 2011 with under 45k miles and the best I found was a CPO for $47k and that wound up going to auction as the dealer wouldn't lower it further. Most are around $50k plus near me.
