Check engine light code(?)

1997 Infiniti I30 Check engine light code P1400

Hi, I'm a noob to this forum and need some help with my 1997 Infiniti I30.

I had the check engine light tested at Advanced Auto Parts and their tester showed code "P1400 manufacturers emission controls." Could someone what this code means. About six months ago, I had the EGR valve replaced with OEM part but the check engine light did not go away. My car is due for emission test this month.

Well, one way to clear a code temporarily is to remove the negative battery cable for about 2 minutes and it will clear the code and the light will shut off. If there is still something wrong with your cars emission control system, the SES light will come on again at a random time, or the next time you start the car.
