I recently had a problem with a strange noise coming from under my hood, according to the dealership, it is a bad rear active mount and quoted $600 to repair. Does anyone have experience with this issue?
Thanks for the reply. The noise sounds like something mechanical, like a motor or something. It makes the noise right before I crank the car, (when the key is in the ACC position), sometimes when I accelerate, and when I cut the car off. The dealership said that it was a bad "rear active mount" and that it would cost $500. I don't know anything about "active" mounts and can't find much information about them online.
