At 6'1" I think this seat is uncomfortable as hell

My 2012 QX56 seat is horrible. Am I the only one that hates this seat? The front of the seat doesn't come up enough to support my legs and there is zero side bolstering. I'm thinking of taking it to an upholsterer to get the padding reworked.

Probably a stupid question but have you tried to adjust the seat by tilting it rearward raising the front edge? At 6'3" it is the first thing I have to adjust in most any vehicle if I am going to be driving any distance at all.
In regards to side bolstering I guess it's personal preference. One of the things I liked about the qx is the lack of comparably. The side bolstering is the first spots to really take a beating if you are in and out all day of the vehicle. They also collapse quickly and leave you with a deformed uncomfortable driving platform with no options to adjust.
Just my opinion fwiw from driving anywhere from 30-70k annually for the past 15 years.
Of course my size doesn't require a lot of side stability at 275. Lol. They don't normally mold seats for my shape. Or maybe they did in the qx which is why you don't have any?

Yeah, I'm tilted back as far as she'll go and it still isn't enough. Side bolstering I can live with but the seat just feels too far forward all the time.

Same height here and yes they are quite uncomfortable and have poor support- HOWEVER, I got to moving my butt and back around with various seat positions and I think I've finally found a position I can comfortably live with on long trips which works out just fine. It takes quite some fiddling to get the ideal position and the distal thigh support is somewhat lacking.

I feel the same way about my '06 seats. Very uncomfortable.
