Anyone know of a QX in a junkyard? Need black trim piece on DS windshield

Got the windshield replaced (#4) last week and the drivers side black trim piece that goes between the door and windshield flew off on the highway yesterday. Glass company say it’s not covered because clips were broken on it and had been previously double-sided taped in place. Since they’ve replaced the windshield the last 2 times, I suggested it was their tech, but that didn’t get me far.

Anyway, dealer wants $260. Can’t find one online for under $175. That’s absurd for $0.40 worth of plastic. Hoping to find one in a junkyard or maybe someone has an extra laying around?

Yes, premium car. No, they’ve been out for 8 years. There should be a good used one out there for a reasonable price.
 
didn't know if you had a 2010 or earlier model, hence why i asked. :)

and I agree there should be some--you're preaching to the choir sir.

im sure there are some out there.. it still may be worth the time to hit up a salvage yard or two, ask them if they know of a place local to you that may carry higher end used parts.

Thanks. I'd totally forgotten about those guys. Back in the day, used to live about 30 min from there and would wander their yard on weekends the wife was working. Cool place. Thanks for the link.
