We are looking at a used 1998 with 89k on it right now and most reviews say it is a very reliable vehicle, but I haven't seen anything past 100k miles.

My 1997 QX4 Has 189,000+ Miles On It!

I bought my QX4 with 70,000 miles on it back in 2000 and it has never left me stranded. It has been a great SUV! I now have almost 190,000 miles on it and still going strong! I take good care of my QX4 so I am sure that has made it even better. I do preventative maintenance, kept up with the dealers scheduled maintenances and I change the oil every 3k miles. I highly recommend the Infiniti QX4!

The only negative thing I can say about my 1997 QX4 is that I wish it had more power. It only has 168 hp and weighs over 5000 lbs! If I would buy another QX4 I would buy a 2001 or later model since they put a bigger motor in it (240 hp) and improved the suspension.

I have a 2001 QX4 with 170k miles on it. I have kept up with the recommended maintainence (usually cheating a few thousand miles wont hurt) and it still runs like a charm! I have had no problems with this vehicle whatsoever. All my friends call it a "luxury tank" because it is such a reliable and safe vehicle. Finding that year model with that few miles on it is a steal. I personally prefer the newer body style but either way the Nissan engine will run forever as long as you take car of it.

153K miles and still going strong! Rusted out running board supports, a new muffler, a recent tune up and still gets 19.8 mpg on the highway.

01 with 175K

My 01 is the second QX4 I've owned my first 97' had 187K on it when my daughter totaled it. The key to longevity is keeping up with the maintenance and not letting your children drive it! I may pass on my 01 in the next 2 years to my daughter after she gets out of college, and other than the low gas mileage of 18 mpgs I love the car.

+ 1 We may own the same one ;)

look for a newer year if you haven't bought this one already. 2001 I think the beefed up the engine. I had a toyota 4runner with the 3.0, then got the 3.4 and man, it made all the difference in the world.

Hello all just joined. I guess my 1999 QX4 had plenty of life in it then!

Still Going Strong

My 1998 Infiniti has 267K and still running great. Most of the mechanics that have worked on them said it is one of the best cars built.

'99.5 QX4- 181k, replaced tires, front struts, steering rack, power steering pump. Changed fluids in the trans, diff and coolant every 75k. Still going...

232,000 miles on my QX4 and still going!!!!

125 000 miles on mine ... I just changed a worn pulley and at the same time got my timing belt done along with the water pump.
Then an injector failed.
Before this i changed the "distributor system" ... and that's about it.
We have really rough winters here and it takes a good beating..I'm happy with it.

270,560 miles

I purchased my 2001 qx4 infiniti brand new. I now have 270,560 miles. I recently replaced the transmission. I was not happy with the service at the midas in silver spring maryland on piney branch road. I took it to a small transmission service center in takoma park maryland-it is running much better.. I also replaced the muffler about 3 years ago. I drive on the highway a lot. The car burns a lot of oil, but I keep oil in the car and have it serviced regularly. The q4 infiniti has been very reliable but I know I am coming to the end-i am pushing for 300,000 miles!!!. my new mechanic insist that my q4 will last. I would purchase a new q4 if it was available. When my car was newer I had it serviced at the infiniti dealership in bethesda maryland-the service was great. As the q4 aged it was no longer cost effective to go to the dealer. I have no idea what will be my next car-what could possibly measure up?????.

We own a 2002 it has 295K miles over the last 100K we have done minor repairs far less than car payments for a year.

If it’s a 2004 model with 300,000 miles would that be a good car to purchase?

I have a 2002 qx4 I’ve driven it to Texas and stl several times and I’m at 206k miles and it’s still going

Mine is 2002 AWD bought new. Only got about 120k miles. I park it outside and don't wash it regularly so the look is not good. However, mechanically it drives perfectly same as the day I bought it. Only items I replaced are the retractable antenna, a worn O-ring underneath I forgot for what, starter replaced once, rear glass supports etc., all normal wear and tear stuffs. To save some money I skipped many major services recommended in the service booklet, I know it is not good.

2003 AWD/4WD with every option except Intelligent Cruise. Just has regular cruise. 115,000 original miles. Purchased two months ago. No problems. I even made the Homelink work. Opens the garage door and the front gate for this community. Absolutely EVERYTHING works. Last owner mounted new tires on it. Since I bought it I put on front seat covers and a new battery, changed the fluids. No complaints. Some lights switched to LED. More coming soon.

But here's the GOOD part: The guy sold it to me for $2,500. I could hardly get my wallet out fast enough. Some pictures below.
