Annoying Door locks

My previous vehicle I was able to pull on the door handle from the inside and regardless if the vehicle was locked or not the door would open. With the qx I have to press the unlock button or flick the door lock manually. Is there a setting to change this so the handle will unlock the door if needed? Anyone else dealing with this?

thats how nissan has it setup. you can get an aftermarket alarm to release the doors when the car shifts to park or there maybe some other 3rd party solution, but there is nothing you can do in the factory state to alter this.
