Did a weekend in Minneapolis and driving from Chicago to Minneapolis through some mildly crappy weather. The sensor for the ACC would function intermittingly until I would wipe it off at a rest stop or a coffee break. Then it would work for some time until a film of road salt and junk would obscure its ability to see items in front of me.
So I thought that maybe I could T off of the windshield wiper fluid hose that goes to the headlight spray cleaner and and run a line to the sensor so that anytime I use the wiper cleaner it would spray the sensor and remove some of the film that is making the sensor not operate. Doesn't seem to be a major project...
Thoughts?
