ac compessor leak

hello, i have a 96 infiniti i30 and i was wondering how do you know if there is a leak somewhere?

dont even bother posting a question lol. These cats wont respond. Theyre either too lazy or dont know anything lol. As far as your ac goes, take it to any repair shop and have a test dont to see if it can keep pressure. Does your ac work at all?

thanks for the heads up..i took it to the shop for a recharge and i dont know if the dude over there is lying or it really is a leak..i just bought this car from somebody and he said there shouldnt be anything wrong with the ac besides a charge..im just thinking the dude at the low budget shop is just trying to clean my pockets because the recharge is only $40

If it needs a recharge it has to have a leak. If only needs it every few years don't bother looking for a leak as it isn't worth it, check around any place the refrigerant runs, and look for a wet spot. If not it couldn't be that bad. How well does it work?
