Went from 275/50-r22 to 275/45 -r22
I know its not exactly the same situation but its pretty close. I went from the Bridgestone 275/50-r22 to the Hankook 275/45-r22 and it looks good.
The 2nd number is the height of the sidewall stated as a percentage of the width (first number in mm).
So, in my case I went from a 22" wheel + ~5.41" of sidewall (total of 27.41 top to bottom or ~13.7 inches wheel to ground). To 22" wheel + ~4.87" of sidewall (total of 26.87 top to bottom or ~13.43 wheel to ground).
In your case you will go from 20" + ~ 6.5" of sidewall (total of 26.5" top to bottom or 13.25" inches wheel to ground). To 20" wheel + 5.4" of sidewall (total of 25.4" top to bottom or 12.7" inches wheel to ground).
So, basically you will be loosing about 1/2" in the wheel well and 1/2" to the ground.
