I have driven a few. Unfortunately, the closest Infiniti dealer is 160 miles from me so it's not a quick run.

It won't stop me from purchasing a QX. Just want to be informed in light of the distance I will have to travel to take it to the dealership.

By the way, what do you think about the touring and technology packages. They seem great in the abstract, but after living with it daily, are you loving both?

My issue is definitely a one off kind of issue. My friend has a '12qx with no such issues. Still, I'll keep everyone updated because its important to see how a company treats its customer...especially since I bought a 2012 G25x for my girlfriend in Feb. I'm expecting a fight but perhaps I'll be surprised next Friday when I meet the investigator from Infiniti

expect a fight. I have read about nissan horror stories on another forum with the armada... you have good ammunition though!

Syn,

no worries mate! I completely understand.

the tech pack is really the main reason I purchased. it has a lot of leading edge features. the 22 inch wheels really make the car stand out from the rest, and the body motion system works amazingly well! I sometimes take the exit ramp curves off the brake pedal and the car stays amazingly flat around the corners.

I came from driving armadas (had two: a 2006 and a 2008 model) and the difference can be felt immediately.

latest update

Hello All

Sorry for the delays but here is an update. The Infiniti inspector came down and we went for a long ride, but the shimmy didn't happen. As we spoke, he felt maybe it was something that had to do when the vehicle was in a cold start because I start the car and get on the highway within 5 minutes. So they agreed to take the car overnight and test it with a cold soak. They still didn't feel what I felt but put on new Michelin tires. It still shakes, perhaps even more now but these tires are brand new so it could take time to break in.

I'm simply not sure how to show someone this issue, other than the video which is hard to see. I'm extremely frustrated and now notice my back brake light has fog in it on the inside so the seal to the light is broken letting moisture in, what a piece...

On Tuesday, driving to work, I must've had a piece of sand kick up and hit my windshield and get caught in the wiper (it was raining) so I had a nice scratch that you can feel with your fingernail. I paid $70 to have that buffed out.

Honestly, extremely disappointed with this vehicle... I will say they are trying to help, but if they can't feel it shake, then it's more and more aggravating.

I'm hoping that if it is cold related, as winter approaches, it'll be unmistakable at anytime of day...if it gets worse, I'll hand them the keys and take the loss. I'll recover but never buy from Inifinit again...

recall

"get a Lexus LX570 and not worry about this kind of crap. "

LOL, I saw that post from moolman and about fell out of my chair. Dude, Lexus will wear your ass out just having all the recalls performed ! The Government went after them and they are scared, they have been doing recalls on everything !
Bolts, lifters, fuel rails, rack and pinion, floormats, I havn't seen any issues with this stuff, they are just crazy scared about being sued.
Most those recall are a waste of time, I had the fuel rails replaced because of the ethanol in our fuel, thats about it. They are definitely not tearing into my motor.
The paint on our Infiniti is 10 times better than what Lexus put on our car! We really like our IS-350 and it runs like a champ and the fit and finish of the interior is excellent. But we get recall notices every month. The only problem we have had with the Lexus is the paint, its clearcoat is pitted and dull on the hood and roof, and they refuse to even consider it, I doubt I ever buy another Lexus even though I am getting good service from the car .

We decided to give infiniti a shot and have been pleased so far. I think the Bridgestones are the weak link in the purchase. Had the one year anniversary for our 2011 model over Labor day weekend. (Waxed it again) LOL

I hate that Josephd has had such a bad time with his. I wonder if its a bad wheel? if the dealer would take a little initiative and just swap the wheels and tires off a demo model and take-er out for a run. Especially if you know the wheels and tires are good on the vehicle you took them off of. Its easy, they have lifts.

Keep us posted Joesphd, I hope they work with you. I wondered about the skill level in the shop sometimes, especially when you mention a ' Kid' did the tires. I mean maybe the kid is sharp, it can happen.
Have a good one
Parrott
