Hey everybody, I have a 2012 QX, black on black. I am having issues with finding slight scratch marks all the time on the vehicle. I have kids, and I drive the QX alot. I try to park it away from the busy parking spots too. It just seems like the QX paint job, especially the plastic exterior parts, is kind of soft. I've never really had a car that scuffs so easily.

Am I the only one? Just kind of drives me nuts after buying such a nice car.

It's still dreamy to drive though...

are you using drive thru car washes? the bristles can and will scratch

if you are using polishing cloths and some small /tiny microscopic debris gets on the cloth and you are rubbing on the car, that can cause scratches.

i have a few and they are my fault. i use a coin op car wash and the bay has a drier hose. well as i had to climb up to blow off the water on the roof, the plastic hose kind of rubbed up softly (well apparently NOT so soft but it was not a BANG) on the car in a couple of spots and cause some light scratch marks. pissed me off man.... but what to do? i got some scratch X and it did a bit of good but in harsh /direct sunlight you can see the scuffs a bit... :(

Same here on scratches from the drive thru car wash. About 2 inches above the bottom of the lift gate on both sides I have matching scratches about six inches long on both sides. Also found one along the hood ridge on the driver's side. I purchased the exterior protection plan so it has been clay barred already. Hoping some scratch remover and a buffer will do the trick. I'm moving in less than two weeks so all of my garage items are packed up currently....
