Anyone with the Q subscribe to the xmradio NavTraffic feature? Think it's useful?

Good question, hopefully others will chime in. My vote would be probably not worth it. I do see some alterts for accidents, but they can be 20miles away in a different direction than I am going. None have been useful to me.

Does the NAV account for traffic when routing to the destination?

It is fairly simple to pull out my smartphone and look at the traffic on the maps app.

i have it and its worth it to me. its a luxury and not a NEED. It gives me weather info (red flag, other warnings, etc) and keeps me updated on traffic issues and accidents/closures. it will also ask you if you want to be re directed should you be on a plotted course (road closed, heavy traffic).

some will justify it and say its not worth it and others will say otherwise. I have had this service for years on the armada and its something that has paid for itself many times over.. especially here in LA.

Ditto what marctronixx said above. I pay for the service and I love it. Nothing worse than driving into a traffic snarl when it could be avoided. Are their phone apps that are free that are as good or better? I'm sure there are. However none of them to my knowledge prompt or alert you to upcoming issues and offer to redirect. That's worth the $4 to me to avoid a ticket and or an accident using my phone while driving. I'm certain it's situationally dependent on your driving needs.

I have to agree, here in Chicago it seems pretty accurate. With the traffic updates I at least know what I'm getting into... and if it can be avoided..

here in LA, on the 170 going to the 101, the line will turn from green to amber to blinking red.. I call the latter RED HOT.. those colors let you know the traffic conditions. and they are accurate! when i see amber coming up, right as the red arrow gets close to the amber color, thats where traffic slows. if there are accidents, exit closures, etc, it has an icon to show you.

its accurate in LA and in Atlanta. also the weather updates are pretty cool.
