I have 5000 miles on my 2011 QX56 and really like the car but as expected have a few warranty issues. The gas gauge/range indicator is not accurate. The moonroof leaks when driven through an automatic car wash. The dealer says that is expected but I cannot believe Infiniti would manufacture a vehicle designed to leak significant amounts of water. My 2005 Denali never leaked a drop in the same car wash. The rear tailgate open/close buttons do not activate the power up or down. Dealer says "we're going to have to call the Infiniti Tech line on that one". Has anyone had the terrible wind noise when driving highway speeds with the rear window down? Again, I like the car.

The moonroof should NOT leak....probably a bad seal or the glass is not fully closing on the track.

The wind noise is bad, but it was bad on my FX 45 also. I just live with it. Maybe a design issue....

Is the tailgate not opening from the handle on the vehicle? Or from the key fob? Need more info

thanks

Button on dash panel and key bob activates the power up/down. Button on outside of tailgate and the close button on the bottom of the tailgate do not activate the power up/down.

I've noticed the wind noise with the back windows down on all of my SUV's. I don't think that's specific to Infiniti.

The leak in the sunroof should definitely be fixed under warranty.

A lot of owners have noticed the gas guage problem. I think that's a design flaw.

The tailgate button problem is also a warranty issue. That should be quick and easy to fix.

It sounds like your dealer really needs to improve customer service.

No issues with the moonroof leaking. Rear hatch button stopped working for a week then came back to life- suspect software issue. I am having an issue with the keyless entry system. It sometimes does not recognise the key to unlock the doors-- either by door button or keyfob. Seems to happen more when sitting overnight. I've noticed that sometimes at night I will walk up to the car with the lights turning on-- key recognition-- but will not allow the doors to be unlocked with the keyfob or door button.
