When my QX was at the dealer getting the battery replaced I had them look at the touch screen sensitivity. Dust and fingerprints were causing the screen to press buttons without me touching it. I had to keep the screen spotless clean to keep this from happening. Apparently there is a screen sensitivity calibration mode and they turned it down a notch so it's not as sensitive. Now it works fine. Just wanted to put this out there in case anybody else has similar issues.

Is this something an end-user can do or does it require a trip to the dealer?

this is something the dealer/tech does. its in the system diagnosis menu.

the reason they dont want a novice/customer adjusting this is because one can alter the accuracy of the screens digitizer (the part that registers your finger touch) and actually make things WORSE.

getting into the diag setup can mess up the system and once you do that its a challenge to go back to the correct setup without heading to the dealer.
