Issue: When I hit the switch to bring the side mirrors in, the right mirror no longer responds. The mirror itself still responds to change the angle, but the entire unit will not retract in.

I had the same problem and the dealer asked for $800 to fix it. It makes a terible noise when I turn on the car. Since I never use it, I brought it to a local shop and ask them to take out the power to the motor. Paid $100.

I'm having the same problem, however my mirror is "loose", and occasionally I hear the actuator motor running and it doesn't want to stop. It sounds like it might have over-travelled? The dealer said that they can "calibrate it" for a few hundred bucks and that this "might" fix it.
Is there a way that I can access the software to try to calibrate this myself?

there is no "software".

what part of the mirror is "loose"? does the motor make a click -click-click sound when either trying to open or close it?

how did the mirror become "loose?

this car is my wife's daily driver, I don't drive it much. several months ago I drove it and noticed that the actuator motor was running all the time and it was making a clicking noise. I have no idea how long ago this issue started or why. I tried using the power fold switch and it wouldn't close, remained where it was, but after operating the switch the actuator motor stopped moving and making the clicking noise. I attempted to "gently" open/close the mirror manually, which I was able to do. I assumed that some part within the actuator broke, and eventually I'd have to replace.

The mirror tilt and adjustment function still works fine, but not as smooth as it used to be. the issue is the power fold feature.

Fast forward a month or so, and at some point the mirror lost the ability to stay in a fixed, open position. It now kind of flops around now, which is really annoying while driving.

sounds like the motor and cam parts are broken inside. replacing the mirror is your best option. there is no software to adjust, its all physical gearing inside.
