2011 Qx56 rear headrest tv questions

I recently purchased a 2011 QX but I have some questions about using the rear theater . When I put DVD in the front it does not show on rear display. The only way I can get Video to show on the rear tv's is to connected portable dvd player to rear tv display input located in the back of center console, but no sound can be heard video only. Can some explain what is going on I thought you could have rear tv's playing dvd and listen at music in the front. HELP !!!!

did you turn the rear screens on? Sounds like the rear auxiliary may be on, I believe you need to hit the rear aux button in settings to get it back to the original source. Does the front one turn on when you have the vehicle stopped and the emergency brake on.

I finlly got screens to turn on but the only way you get sound is by having front display on disc aux. found do you get front stage to play fm radio sound and rear stage playing dvd sound

Audio is based off what is playing on the front screen. You can have a DVD playing front and rear or you can change audio to be radio throughout the vehicle and then the rear DVD watchers would need the headphones. At least that's what I understand from my 2012 vehicle. If someone knows better I'd love to hear it.

i am not clear on what the op is asking.

i am well educated in the entertainment system on this car and punish hit it right on the head.

the back passengers are designed to use headphones to watch their display. each display, even the front one, can show independent files from one another.

if you want to watch a dvd for ALL passengers, you can do that. it you want to have music playing in the cabin but timmy and amanda want to watch a dvd on their respective screen, you can do that.

I wonder why Infiniti didn't go the way of top load DVD's so each 2nd row passenger can watch a movie of their choice?

Also when you have kids under say 6 years old it's just easier to have your passenger handle all of it from up front.
