What is the ideal fuel pressure for a 2011 QX56? I rescued my wife from the middle of the road last week. She was coming to a stop and the vehicle died. I am checking fuel pressure first, but can't find what the fuel pressure should be on any site.

There are two fuel pressure readings; low fuel pressure is 65 psi. That can be obtained by in-line fuel pressure gauge or with a diagnostic tool. The high fuel pressure emitted by the high pressure fuel pump can only be diagnosed with a full range diagnostic tool. It does so by reading the mV emitted by high pressure fuel pump. It should display as FUEL PRES SEND V and at idle, its 820-1220 mV and when revving at idle to 4K rpms, it'll be 820 mv-3060 mV.

2011 QX56 w/ 251k miles. My wife had issues getting home the other week, so I had her limp it to Infiniti dealership. Every time she went above 40mph, the SES light flashed and she had no power. It was after hours at Infiniti, so I picked her up and read the codes from the vehicle. Had a P0300 and P0303...cylinder misfires....something I could fix myself. But I'm glad I didn't try because dealership diagnosed it as the high pressure fuel pump and bucket lifter. My wife said there was a high pitched noise from the engine bay, which I did not hear because I didn't drive it. 2K later and it drives fine.

Just adding this as info for others....
