Hi everyone,
I have a 2011 4wheel drive, and June 28,2014, when I went out to the garage to
start the car it was completely dead. Even the garage door opener would not
work. call the infinity service 800 number, that was a joke.
I tried both fobs and it would not start.

Ultimately I had to have AAA tow it to the dealer. it is still under warrenty.
Of course no loaner was available.
Later that day when i went to pick it up they told me it was my fault
as I had pushed the accessory's button and left it on all night.

I have read many of your posts and it appears I am not alone. Now as a woman I have no confidence in this car. I have read that some people have
been left stranded.

Has anyone been able to resolve this issue with Infinity, that they actually fixed the problem?
Any help is very much appreciated.

welcome.

there are thousands of these cars on the road. reading about issues from a few people does not suggest this car is not reliable. people come online to find help, not to post kudos or success stories, so please keep this in mind when suggesting the car is unreliable. Just look on an car forum for specific cars and you will see the same. same for consumer products.

anywho, to your issue.

you left the car in the accsy position. sounds like it was your fault. the battery ran down. it happens to lots of people across different makes and models of cars.

I am at a loss as to what your issue is with infiniti.

Joanne;

If you tap the start/stop button twice, the vehicle will shut-off and go into accessory mode. Meaning your battery will discharge!

Read More Here ---> 2011 QX Owners Manual Chapter Starting and driving 5-11

"When the ignition switch is pushed without depressing the brake pedal, the ignition switch position will change as follows:

  • Push center once to change to ACC.
[*]Push center two times to change to ON.
[*]Push center three times to change to OFF.
    [*](No position illuminates.)
[*]Push center four times to return to ACC.
[*]Open or close any door to return to LOCK
    [*]during the OFF position.

The ignition switch is equipped with an anti-theft steering lock device."

I have read that some people have
been left stranded.
If maintained and operated in accordance to the owners manual this vehicle is very reliable.

Ok I wanted to make sure I wasn't overlooking the obvious. I have to agree the QX is a very reliable vehicle. Based on what you are describing this isn't an Infinity issue. You need to chalk this up as Human Error; sounds like you were either not aware of when the car is in the ACC mode or didn't realize the light over the push button lights up in ACC mode to catch this from happening.

Even though the car is push button. It isn't any different than sticking a key in the ignition and only turning it to the ACC position and walking off and forgetting about it.

I can't tell from all of the quotes, but are you saying the issue is your ignition button is not illuminating when you go from Start, Stop, to ACC?

I can appreciate your frustration. In the end you are fortunate that you had access to AAA to use your service.

I can not believe you'd say " Now as a woman I have no confidence in this car" ... just because the battery died on you in the garage doesn't make the car unreliable. It was human error, and I've done it before, and I'm certain others have as well... the car/truck is very reliable and comfortable... you're one bad experience doesn't spell/warrant an End of the World rant. Wow!!! But I would agree on the rant that the dealer didn't have a loaner for ya, that would piss me off as well.

I have long suspected some of these posters, with only 1 or 2 posts to their username credit, are 'shills'. More in likely somebody attempting to discredit the QX without merit. I don't understand their motivation in doing so.

I agree with Roughyear .. the "as a woman...." statement made me laugh.

Sounds like momma wasn't happy with Daddy's choice of suv's so she is going to rail on everything she can find.
Just get her a minivan like the rest of the soccer moms so she can bitch and complain with them....
Lol.
Women. Can't live with them and you can't shoot them. At least legally. Lol
But they sure make for some fun conversation don't they?

I have the same problem with my infinity 2011 qx56. The battery dies within a week if the car is left standing. Whats the parasitic drain?

On our 12 we had a solenoid go bad and it caused a rapid battery drain. Probably search in here and find the thread from that time period I'm sure I shared the problem and solution on here...
Not sure if that is your issue but it was a quick fix for ours.

Which solenoid?

A neighborhood friend of mine had an electrical part relating to drivers side seat belt go bad and that drained their battery several times until Infiniti figured it out. I think this was a 2016 QX. I guess after they'd shut down the car the seat belt motor would keep trying to engage, slowly killing the battery.

Later,
