2011 compass

Had a 08 Qx56, my best vehicle ever. Bought a new 2011 Qx56, has no compass on mirror. I like a compass showing cruising direction, rather than going to NAV system to figure it out.
Anyone else surprised by this? Or have I simply missed a setting to show compass on instrument panel ?

yeah, the little needle is on the Navigation panel is all you got for a compass. The white tip of the small needle on the right side of the panel is north. I thought for the longest time that red was the pointer. silly me.
But I would have placed the gas gauge on the other side of the instrument panel. LOL
I am getting use to it.
