2010 QX56 Exhaust (Dual Muffler Inlet)

Hello all.

First post on this board so I hope I can get some support / help with my issue.

I paid a visit to a local exhaust shop as my tail pipe tip on my 2010 QX56 was leaning down farther then it should.

After inspection my tail pipe has rusted and come apart from my stock factory muffler. Small hole in the muffler also so time to spend some money right?

Well I called my local dealership and gave them my VIN. They came back to me with part number 20100ZE00B for my muffler.

Problem: This part only has one 3" inlet when my factory muffler has 2 x 3" inlets. I will post a picture of an example of my exhaust and also what 20100ZE00B looks like.

Anyone know what is going on here?

Any help would be great and also any suggestions for aftermarket mufflers that would sound great and last long?

The shop I brought it to to the inspection recommended a Magnaflow muffler.

have had two armadas and now a qx. all 3 have had magnaflow mufflers on them. i also took off the resonator on the end. i highly recommend the magnaflow!!!!!

Was your muffler 2 inlets and 1 out?

Since there are two cats i would assume so —I’d have to look under the car to verify but i think it was two in (ive a 2012 qx). I cant recall on my older armadas but i do think they are the same...

From what I see everything is the same...In your picture the exhaust is upside down, and has piece #7 from the diagram attached. So your picture has pieces #7 & #8, You can see in the picture on the upper pipe (which is the lower pipe in the diagram) there is an exhaust clamp about halfway up, that is where piece #7 starts.

EDIT: I now see you mean actually going into the muffler...possibly an updated part, to fit more vehicles...call the dealership back, and ask if that part # has been revised and when...Its likely that it is the correct part, just revised since your truck was manufactured.
