Can anyone recommend a way to upgrade my factory Bose system on this vehicle? Every Bose system I've ever owned (probably at least 7 in vehicles) have absolutely rocked. The system in my 2004 QX was superb. I recently purchased a 2009 model and by comparison the stereo just doesn't sound as good. I can even turn the volume up all the way and still listen to it (although it IS loud). That has never been the case in the past.
To me, the stereo quality is something I really appreciate and to be fair I'm sure that to 95% of people this stereo would be really good. To me, the base just isn't as crisp and the treble just isn't outstanding. I'm not an audiophile so that's about as technical as I can get... I do notice that the speaker configuration in this vehicle is much different than my 04.
I'm open to any solution that is clean. If I could just upgrade some of the speakers, that would be great. If I need to add amps or something, that's good too. I am having difficulty finding ANY custom stereo installer in the northern Indiana area to even consult with however.
