[2009] Lower profile tires

I have a 2009 qx56 and the recommended tire size is 275/60/R20. Can I put 275/55/R20 tires on for a little lower profile and if so will that through off mileage and other tire guages? Thanks for any help

you should be able to. some cats put 26 inch wheels on these cars.

mileage may be affected and it may alter the speedometer a bit.

One Problem you will have is that the odometer will be over counting miles. It may not be much, but after 40,000 it may add up to a couple of thousand extra miles that you really didn't put on the car.

You would be going roughly 1.08" smaller which works out to 20.74 revolutions more than the stock tire size. As the other person said this will throw off your speedo unless you have someone electronically adjust it.

If you are wanting a lower profile tire don't skimp do it the right way and go up in wheel size.

To help you out use this site..just enter in the stock tire size and any size time you want and it will tell you how big or small it is from stock.
