2007 QX56 front video?

New owner of a 2007 QX56. Just looked through 25+ pages on the forum and didn't see anything on this specifically.

On the 2007, can the video play on the Nav screen in the front? Also, when I fade the speakers all the way to the rear, no sound. Is this a design flaw? Having transient problems with the DVD system powering up. Any ideas?

i take it you are not the original owner?

2007 and earlier models the dvd only plays in the back by the stock configuration.

what some people have done (i did this on a 2006 armada) was put a portable nav screen in the bezel or a aftermarket screen that allowed up front viewing of video files, etc as well as gps abilities.

as for fading in the rear, you should hear audio in the rear. when you have the fader control set to where all speakers play, do you hear any music in the rear speakers?

there is a button for the rear entertainment system, check to make sure its not set to rear control.

No We just purchased this to replace my wife's 10 year old Explorer with 210,xxx miles on it. Needless to say, this is a very nice upgrade. When I get home from the Firehouse, I will play with it again and try to narrow down the issues. Probably be making a trip to the dealer to straighten it out if we can't on here.
