Hoping someone can offer me some guidance regarding my 2005 QX56. A week and a half ago, the thermostat went out so I replaced it thus allowing the vehicle to cool. A few days after replacing the thermostat, it became increasingly difficult to start the vehicle where I had to hold the key on for 5 or more seconds before it would finally turn over. Last week, my daughter drove it to a gas station and it broke down in the parking lot won't start at all now.
When I stray starter fluid in the intake it starts for a moment but then turns off so it's getting spark. I replaced the fuel pump/filter thinking that was the issue but it still won't turn over. The starter was replaced a year ago so I'm highly doubtful that is the issue. I've also checked all the fuses and they too are all good.
Does anyone have any ideas as I'm highly frustrated and would like to not take it to a dealer if at all possible if the fix is simple.
