I have a 2001 infiniti i30t, recently tried to put a new audio deck in, every wiring kit i got would give me power but no sound so i ended up just disconnecting it and putting the stock back in. While putting in the deck though i tried to connect the dimmer wire to the new deck and cut it off the harness that would have gone into the deck and since this my parking lights and tail lights both dont work. Also whole inside electrics have no lights working. This includes A/C, stock radio, and dash does not dim at all. Any ideas if me cutting the dimmer wire has to do with this.
All fuses on the inside by steering wheel are ok. Need to figure this out because i keep getting pulled over and the cops are getting annoyed. Thanks.

No Tail lights

Double check the interior lights/dash fuse - that is usually the one that controls the tail lights, too. The thinking being that when a driver can't see their instruments they investigate, find a blown fuse, and fix it, thus restoring the tail lights.

Sometimes the fuse can look ok but still be blown. Do you have an ohm meter? Use that and check the resistance - it should be vey close to zero. If you don't have an ohm meter just change the fuse on principle - I'd bet that will fix it nine out of ten times.

There is a fuse under the hood on the drivers side. There's a cover that has the fuse labels on it. One of them says "tail lights". The tail lights and part of the dash....clock, radio lights, gear shift lights, are on that same fuse.
