2000 Infiniti I30 shift gear locked up at Parking(P)?

My 2000 Infiniti I30 shift gear locked up at Parking(P) and brake tail light won't light when I step on brake pedal.

What can go wrong? The engine starts and runs well. I can
press gear release button to shift to D to drive the car without brake light. It locked up again after I stop and shut off engine.

check the fuse and use a volt meter to see if theres a short on the brake light. coz the same happed on my 2001 maxima and turned out somehow the brake lights wires were melted and shorted

first check all the fuses, then take the brake lights fuse out and see if it works and also with the fuse check for a short on the brake light using a multi meter
