So I have noticed e-brake, ABS, traction control lights will light up erroneously, but disappear on next ignition.

Additionally, go through periodic spells where the tailgate glass will just keep popping open as if you were hitting the button on remote.

Now, after my (short) sister drove it and moved seat all the way up, and steering wheel adjusted all the way down, both my sear adjustment and steering column adjustments quit working. Mirror adjustments also seem to have quit.

Any thoughts on seat/steering column power issues? We don’t see a bad fuse but maybe we missed one. Thinking all of these items may be related.

wiring harness may have some issues. check for codes
Will standard code reader give me codes for wiring issues, or will it throw erroneous codes based on the engine dashboard lights that it “believes” are problems because of the wiring issue?

Not sure I have the skills to Suss out a wiring issue, but if I pick up another code reader and it will actually give me proper codes it would give me a shot.

a off the shelf consumer scan tool you can get from amazon, etc, can pull general codes that can give you an idea of any issues. this is a good starting point. the codes you get can lead you down a better path then just pure speculation without any direction. basic ones are not expensive but you can find some that cost a few hundred, depending on the options. you can also try a local parts store like autozone. sometimes they have a scan tool that can plug up to your car right out in the parking lot.
