Hello everyone. I have a 2011 QX56. 300,000k. I just put a new engine harness in. Then engine went. So I had the dealership put a 2013 with 44k The starter was shorter so that’s new. They never changed my fuel injectors. All cats are new because they said it was that. Then one of the specialist said it was fuel pump which they changed. Then started driving it and the Map and Maf sensor code went off. Went back and they replaced both sensors and PCV valves. Still same code is going on. They had it for 6 weeks and still can’t figure out why code is coming back on. They think maybe the engine doesn’t work with ecm of 2011. Because it’s the only year with Maf and Map. I can’t buy a new ecm because it’s discontinued They just gave it back to me with their hands up. It drives fine but RPM is high around 1k. Going through more gas it seems. Any ideas? Brought it to a small shop and they said it’s the fuel injector seals. But the dealership said it would come up lean code. Need help? Put 15k in the last two months. Thought it would be cheaper to keep it then buying new.
 
That dealership obviously has no clue and was just guessing the issues instead of actually diagnosing it. The Z62 QX56/80s ALL have a MAP and MAF sensors. Only the 17-current utilizes a different part # MAP (boost) sensor.
What DTCs are exactly popping up?

P006a. They. Hanged both of them and it still pops up. It drives fine but with Service light on. Going through gas like crazy. Rpm at idle is at 1k. Drops to 750 when in gear. Can’t believe after all the work I am still dealing with this.

Meant had both. Not hanged.
 
I can't even imagine the frustration you're going through having spent so much money to only have issues unresolved.

Are you sure that is the DTC that is being triggered? I only ask because for the Z62s, DTCs for MAP or MAF sensors would be P010a and P0101, P0102 and P0103 respectively.
At this point, no harm in checking the pins on the connectors for both the MAP and MAF sensors and even checking the harness for continuity.

They checked the pins. So the mechanic said he bumped it when he was putting the engine in. But said it looks straight. Not sure about the dtc. Will ask them.
