Yeah I just picked up a 09 Qx56 and would like to upgrade some body parts. I’ve read about some conversions from the qx80. What year parts would I be looking for to change front end, bumpers fenders and so forth. Any help would be appreciated.

Well that sucks, thanks for the info. Guess I’m stuck with mechanical performance upgrades.

And I'm not sure you'll find much there. I've had an '08 since new and our
"performance upgrades" are a K&N filter and Bilstein front shocks. Granted I haven't looked for years since ours is not our primary vehicle.

Yeah I’m thinking of Stillen exhaust and cold air intake. I’m hoping to go from 320hp to about 400hp. It’s nice to hear that youv kept the vehicle that long. I wasn’t sure about the purchase but they seem to get great reviews. It only has 73k miles and a transferable warranty up to 125k mileage.

To get to 400hp will take more than just an exhaust and cai. On my previous 04 armada, it had JBA LT headers, PRT b-pipes, JBA catback, AirRaid MXP cai and tuned via Uprev. While it definitely gained HP and TQ, it was likely a bit over 50hp. An improvement no less but add a set of JWT camshafts and it'll definitely get close to the 400hp mark.

It's been a very good trunk- nearly 130K miles. It was my wife's primary vehicle (and the family "station wagon) up until this past year. We use the 4WD all summer since we have a beach house that allows us to drive oceanfront. It wasn't worth it (to us at least) to trade it in for our new SUV so we've kept it for extra duty. I just drove it 100 miles Weds and it brought a smile to my face with how effortlessly it gobbled up some highway miles.

Good luck!

Good to know thanks, I’m an electrician by trade. I’m new to the whole automotive upgrades for any vehicle. I’ve just watched a few you tube videos lol. Appreciate the info, I’ll have a mechanic give me some advice.
