2015 Q50 speech to text issues with IPhone 6

Just purchased a 2015 Q50, paired my Iphone6 and when I try to respond to a text via the car's voice command I receive an error that reads "the phone is not connected or this phone is not supported. I am doing something wrong? I tried this while the car was in "Park".

I have a Q50 and I've never been able to respond to text messages while parked either. I checked with the dealership and they said the iPhone is fickle and doesn't work very well on the cars platform. Very frustrating!

I have an 6 paired in my '15 when I respond to a text, it works fine thru the mic in the cabin but I always use the phone for the response, not the voice command...
