2011 qx question

hi everyone. Im new to this forum however i am a 2 time qx owner.I had 04 qx and towed my 7000lb camper with ease. I am looking for the plug for the trailer brake controller and not finding it on my 2011 qx. Is it the plug right next to the obd connector or elsewhere.also do i need a new harness or is the one from my 04 the same.Any help would be appreciated.

Brake harness

welcome Kruncher. I went out and looked at my 2011 model and I didn't see one,but I didn't remove the bottom panel. I saw the ODB connecter but I didn't see any connector.
One of the other guys on here that tows with a 2012 model could tell us, should be the same.

OK i found out the information. There is in fact a factory plug under the dash just near the brake pedal. You can see it and access it without removing the kick panel.

I am installing it in a few so I will advise what I find out.

I found mine by reaching up and removing the black electrical tape around a bundle of wires. The connector is tucked and taped up in this bundle near the steering wheel. I did not not have to remove any panels to get to it.

I'm using a Prodigy P2 with Nissan Harness. According to the website below the harness will fit 04-12 so it looks like it may be the same adapter.

Where have you guys mounted your controller? That's the only hesitation I've had to doing the install...no desire to have it visible in the QX but if I mount it where I did on the Titan (just inboard of hood latch release), it hits my wife's knee when she's adjusted her seat to her small height.
