Just wanted to check back in with folks here. I took delivery of my 2011 QX in July of 2010 (the first for my dealership). I can happily report that in 30,000 miles the only issue I have encountered was a slightly discharged battery. My Truck is fully loaded Tech/DeluxTour/theater/illuminated kick plates/Delux matts/CargoProtector/ etc... Everything has held up well! The only annoyance is in direct/bright sunlight IBA some times deactivates itself as the sensor can't effectively scan the road ahead.
I have wheat interior that still looks brand new because I am diligent with the Lexol conditioner and Cleaner. My exterior is excellent as well. I have a black truck - that is admittedly a pain in the arse to keep up - No automated washes here only hand washed most of the time by me personally + multiple coats of Pinnacle Souvereign Carnuba, AutoGlym and Zymol Carbon (< early on.) I have a dent guy so it costs me at the most $35 to pull a ding - so all panels are straight as and blemish free. I park at the end of the parking lot so its not really an issue for me. The last ding was due to a gust of wind blowing the heavy door from convertible into the side of the QX - which has soft doors.
When I first bought my truck July of 2010 there were basically none on the road, now I see them quite regularly - I hear Hertz rents them in my area (Miami, FL) for about $250.00 a day.
The QX is a solid contender, it can serve as that Luxury Sedan/Luxury SUV in the same breath without skipping a beat. Feel satisfied that you made a solid choice
In closing... I will need tires in about another 1k or so - after 30k the OEM Dueller HT's are ready to be retired
