:confused: This forum doesn't seem very active. I've noticed a lot of questions that go unanswered. Unless everyone is a "newbie" like me and don't have the answers. :rolleyes:
 
You're right.....

I noticed that. :) I'm considering buying a 2006 m35x, and came to this forum to try to educate myself on any maintenance/service issues w/the model, but there's nothing here. Does ANYone actually do maintenance/repairs on their own car?

Anyway, sometimes it just takes a couple of interested people to help the thing take off. Look at the bright side, you seem to have a rare opportunity to be on the forefront of something, to make yourself the resident SME.

In the meantime, anything you've learned from your purchase that might be helpful to me? The vehicle I've got my eye on is a black on black w/~80k, which is why I'm looking for maintenance/repair info....:)
 
novcncy, I'm a 'newbie' here myself. I just purchased a 2007 M35x w/2k miles, like brand new and I couldn't be happier. I have mostly owned Mercedes with a sprinkling of BMW's. My wife loves her '04 Lexus RX330 but is also impressed with my purchase.
As far as maintenance goes, I have no business under the hood of any car! :D
But, from what I've been able to research, these cars don't seem to have too many issues.
I would suggest, however, to check the Technical Service Bulletins (TSB's) to see if the car in question has had these taken care of. Another resource is Carfax.

This forum has been fairly unactive since I joined so I only check in every so often. There are other forums that have a LOT more traffic that I frequent.
