Whistling noise while accelerating Q50 red sport

I have a 2016 q50 red sport with 16,000 miles it recently started making a whistling noise on acceleration was wondering if anyone had similar issue and if this is a major issue as the dealership cannot see me for 2 more weeks because of covid backlog

i have a '17 q50 w a 3 liter Twin Turbo v6 and when you lay down the throttle, I get a screeching/whistling noise (usually around 5k rpms). not sure what that is.

Hey, sorry to hear you're having this issue. I had same issue on identical year/model, seems to be very common in Q50 models. Turned out to be failing turbos (which is luckily covered under 5-year powertrain warranty). I recommend you go to Infiniti dealer ASAP (bring all proof of oil changes, maintenance with you, if you have it, since they will likely have to request approval from manufacturer. Luckily for infiniti owners (unlike BMW etc) warranty stays with the car and not the owner (2nd/3rd/4th etc owners can use it) so you if act in time you will save yourself thousands of dollars in repairs.
