I just bought a 2011 qx56 and after I got it home and starting waxing it I noticed that 3 of the wheel well moldings are loose.I checked out the service records from infinity and saw that they have repaired one of them already back in 2016.I am wondering if this is a problem with the truck.
also does anyone know approximately what the dealer would charge to reinstall them.I think it is just a matter of time and I would loose them on the highway.or is there a fix it looks like the fasteners are not attached to the molding. Thanks again Jimbo
this should not happen on a 70000.00 vehicle.never had an issue on our lexus

hello.

a car is only as good as its owner. Ive a 2012 (purchased in 2012) qx fully loaded and it looks just like it drove of the factory line. no issues with parts or any of the sort.

the fender parts don't just fall off. my car is my daily driver and I do 97% highway driving. 76K miles later and all is well.

you can order the parts and install them yourself if you have the time or patience, or get a body shop to do it. call the dealer, give them your vin and they will tell you a price, or go to any one of the infiniti e-shops online and source the parts.

10 second internet search pulled up ebay listings:

https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_fr...at=0&_odkw=2011+qx+56+body+side+wheel+molding

you can find the part number and exploded parts lists in one or two of those...

Thanks, this car was taken care of also but for some reason the moldings are loose.it has happened before and infinity fixed them

Yes they can become loose over time. I believe there is only adhesive holding them on. You can buy more from the dealer, they are not that expensive. I had to replace some of mine on the passenger side after they did my timing chain.
