Weather Alert notification

I just purchased a 2011 QX56 and each time I fired up the SUV a weather notification warning appears on the nav screen and announced through the speakers. There is no bad weather in my area. Any ideals on how to get the annoying notification to stop?

Also the rubber strip around the door has detached at a certain point around the door. Is there a tool I can buy to reattach it?

I'm not 100% but it looks like you still have the XM weather and traffic active,that is if you bought the car brand new or maybe if it's used,the previous owner did not cancel the subscription.
Mine was bought used and the XM radio is still active,live weather was not active,thanks to the previous owner..lol☺
.Check the settings,I'm sure there is a way to disable it.

yes as described you have XM nav updates on that head unit.

you can deactivate the alerts in the settings menu.

if you want to cancel the service, call siriuisxm up and give the the ID to the head unit.
