Want to add apple CarPlay to my JX35

I have a 2013 jx35 and want to install apple CarPlay. Has anyone done this if so can you please provide me with your experience and any information?

I don’t have a JX but in 2020, I installed a Grom Audio VL2 CarPlay/Android interface in my QX80. It has been a great upgrade and it works just like OE CarPlay systems. You don’t lose any OE controls either and Grom Audio keeps the system running smoothly with their OTA updates.

I bought it and I installed it back in 2020. At the time, it was $599 and used a $50 coupon too. It’s been great, no complaints. Works just like OE Apple CarPlay and retains all OE functions. After a recent update from a couple weeks ago, I noticed Spotify on the screen as well. I don’t use it but still good to know.
