We just purchased a 2012 QX56 for my wife. I'd like to leave the rear bumper, trailer tow package cover off so she can put her bike rack in without messing with the cover all the time. But it is just plain ugly without it. Are there any after market trim packages that would at least cover up the holes in the bumper ? I searched the Infiniti site and didn't find anything.

Thanks, any help is appreciated !

There was a post here sometime ago with pictures of a modified towing cover. I tried to find it for you but had no luck. This person bought the same color cover as his and cut the opening for the tow hitch. Looked pretty good.

I found it dimapb. Here it is....
I hit the search button and typed in hitch cover.

Eden, you are correct the bumper looks awful without the cover on. I wish there was something similar to this but had maybe some of the plastic between the electrical connector and the receiver. That opening is still really big but at least the unfinished areas are covered. I think the part is $100 and then you have to paint it after you cut a hole in it!!

Kcrbel,
Yeah, I found the same one you did, but the one I was talking about was different. It was black and had an opening for just the hitch.

Yes, that's the one. Now I see why I couldn't find it... :) Thanks.

Can someone copy and post a picture here. All I get is the stupid rotating arrow.

A hole saw would make a nice clean cut instead of that ugly cut with wire loom around it. Really cheapens up a 70k vehicle. I hope that piece isn't finished, it needs to be painted white.
