Any of you guys use the QX56 for towing? We purchased it to replace our 1/2 ton Dodge RAM and plan to two our 5500lbs travel trailer. It looks like the QX56 should have no problem - just wondered if anyone had any feedback?

I tow a ton (pun intended!) Only downside is how the hitch are looks with the cover off. I haven't put the cover back on since I purchased the vehicle in December. I towed an 5,000 pound 4 place snowmobile trailer around 3500 miles this past season. Tow great, never even felt the trailer, except in some wind. Got around 10 mpg towing. You do have to shut off the blind sport sensors as they stay lit when towing. Rear camera is great for lining hitch with trailer. I also added an electric break module.

I also tow a boat, two waverunners, and a light utility trailer.

Previous vehicle was an H1 Hummer - this pulls better!

that's great to hear. I've added the brake controller, actually dropped off at the dealer to have installed before I even signed on the truck. Trailer we tow is 5500lbs empty, figure we've got 1000lbs of 'gear' in it for a long trip.

Agree about the hitch cover, I think it will be off while I'm gone but unless too big of a pain I'll put it on/off, wish it was a bit easier or they offered one that just left the hitch exposed.

No, test runs for us, we're headed from IL to Smokey Mountains in TN on friday!

Just hit the 1000 mile mark with my QX and decided to pull my 27ft 6,500lbs boat to the lake over the 4th of July. I have a 1200lb aluminum dual axle Eagle trailer that the boat sits on. With full fuel and gear in the boat I estimate I was pushing the 8,500lb limit. It pulled great! 65mph and fully stable. The air ride on the truck was great and kept everything nice and level. I did use a forged 6" drop 17,000lb rated ball mount for the 2 5/16" ball as welded mounts make me nervous when you get over 3,000lbs. I couldn't be happier with the torque this truck puts out. FYI I got the forged ball mount from Northern Tool for $40. Matched up nice with my black truck.

Nice pull - I've now done two big tows, with the travel trailer to Smokey Mountains, TN and Wisconsin Dells, WI. Both times I've been very impressed. The air suspension takes a bit of getting used to with the tongue weight as I found you need to make sure the car is 'off' sometime between loading and driving so that it can recalibrate.

Overall very nice tow - plenty of go power and it seems very stable.
