someone either intentionally or unintentionally scratched up our driver side door pretty well. bunch of marks inside about a two inch round circle. Looks like something either leaned up against and scratched or someone keyed in a bunch of strokes. Anyway, what's the best way to 'fix' this short of a full on body shop and repaint of the door?

Do the "paint" pens i see online work? Does the dealer sell touch up paint? I can't seem to find an official online place to purchase.

thanks for any help!

I feel your pain. We too had an incident at a grocery store, whereby a jealous shopper keyed a circular pattern on the passenger side door. Then they placed a shopping cart next to it to fake that it rolled accidentally against the vehicle.

We went immediately to a collision specialist (auto body shop) and the Senior Technician there was able to buff out, what appeared/felt to be deep scratches. I was amazed as I can no longer see the scratches and I even positioned the car in direct sunlight and in the shade to check. I was even more amazed when the technician said, "no charge". Very nice and caring customer service.

Please give that a try before using touch-up paint.

PS: Yes, the dealer sells exact color touch-up paint.
