Theater Package mandatory

Maybe its just me but can someone explain the need for Infiniti to "force" the purchase of the Theater Package when all I really want is the Deluxe Touring Package. I sent Infiniti an email asking that very question but have not got a reply. Something costing in the 71K range should be a little bit more customized from the factory as is some of the QX's German competitor's, even if they do cost a bit more.

A lot of automakers group packages together based on what they perceive will be popular options. The fewer combinations they offer, the less expensive it is to build.

You may be able to custom order your QX if you want the touring package without the theater package. The other option would be to negotiate with your dealer to exclude the cost of the theater package from your purchase price.
