Have all 2015 and older Infiniti owners have received the notice about the issues with Connections service?
To summarize, Infiniti based the service on AT&T 2G on the US, which AT&T is shutting down on 1/1/17.
They're offering a dealer-installed radio upgrade to 3G, but at a cost of $149 to the owner. In exchange for paying the $149, they offer a year of Connections at no charge.
My take is since I bought this car only 10 months ago, this should be a no cost upgrade, since my expectation was in buying the car I'd take advantage of the Telematics (Connections) services,
