I've been seeing a few around my area in Palm Beach County, Florida. And my wife wants one to replace her Lexus RX. Who's going to be the first owner/driver at InfinitiForum.net?

We bought a JX35 just last month. Though I miss the QX56's power, the JX is a great replacement! The JX35 has ample power as a family hauler. I find the CVT a little annoying but my wife loves how smooth it is so it's all good! It's my wife's daily driver and I look forward to driving it, hauling around the family on the weekends. It's a perfect luxury "true 7 seater". It's not too big... just right IMHO. It's smooth, quiet, handles well, and drives almost like a sedan. It's not a behemoth like the QX, so the wife likes it much better. We've owned our share of SUVs (MB R-class, ML, GL 450&350, and the '11 Infiniti QX56) and I must say, the JX35 is a keeper!:)

JX35 Experience

Greetings!

Bought a loaded JX35 in April as a replacement for my wife's 2000 Suburban. Took delivery four weeks earlier than quoted by dealer in April. We have had the JX35 SUV for three weeks.

Bought instead of a planned Acura MDX. My 3 daugters did test drive compares sitting in the back and way back. They unanimously preferred the seating config and ride comfort of the JX. We are very glad of the choice.

The good - handles well, comfortable and flexible back seating, great moonroof in back, fun to drive, gadget heaven, attractive interior, plenftiful options. The not as good - some confusing electronic controls, service required for sticky doorlock and some paint imperfections, not as peppy as the car it replaced but sufficient. Had to travel out of state 150 miles to get a good deal. Highly recommend it as a family SUV.

Just bought my JX35 earlier this week and so far I love it. Its my first Infiniti. Its my daily drive at the moment but i suspect my wife will steal it. I was slightly concerned about coming down in size from my previous vehicle, but the benefit of drive on a daily basis will likely outweigh the random occasion where the extra space would have been nice.

Only complaint so far is how it imported my contacts from my iPhone for voice dialing. All are LastName/FirstName which is annoying because i have to say it like that for it to recognize them. Is this something all Infiniti's do or can i configure it?

new owner

Hi all, new to forum, and first Infinity picked it up today. Traded in 2004 Volvo XC90 for the JX white with graphite, premium and driver assistance package illuminated kickplates and cargo package.

Bought the JX a month ago to replace an Accord sedan. Already made use of the 3rd row several times. I've added a roof bike rack and cargo box. Wished it had a little more HP. Pressed the SOS button by mistake. The button got stuck and needs to be replaced. Dealer said they've seen this before.

The power hatch door sometimes closes on its own. Pressed hatched button to open, door completely opens and then reverses. Have to hold the door to physically stop it. Pressing the open/close button while it's closing opens it again, but it will reverse and close as soon as it is fully opened.

Dealer couldn't find anything wrong and of course it doesn't happen at the dealer. Happens intermittently, I'd say 1 out of 3 times. Its very annoying. Dealer checked it today so let's see if it cleared up.

Morning all, have had the JX35 for about 3 months now. Similar complaints about the HP and familiarality with all the bells and whistles but we are slowly getting used to that. Did notice the lack of HP when I test drove but all the other features outweigh that. Looks great, drives solid, spacious inside so I recommend if your in the market and could get a good price to lease or buy. Going to start a thread on some issues regarding intermittant no start with the push button start and how to program the doors to open when putting gear selector in park. (only open now when when I shut vehicle off ). Hope I helped someone and good luck to all

The dealer adjusted the damper and so far no more problems. I'm a happy camper again.

I just traded in my 2008FX 35 and I love although the technology features this car provides.

Bought one for the wife last Friday, traded in her Cadillac SRX for it. Fully loaded silver and charcoal interior. I am very impressed so far, I like the fact much of the tech is similar to my QX makes a easy transition for us. And it's nice to see 2 infiniti SUVs parked in the garage!

Just purchased ours 2 weeks ago. The vehicle is a daily driver for my wife. Switched from the GMC Acadia. We are planning a trip to Fla. from NC for Spring Break. Actually looking forward to seeing how the vehicle performs over the 13 hour drive. I agree with the HP issue some have mentioned -- a little flat from 2nd to 3rd. I have been leaving it in sport mode and I assume I need to get familiar to the JX. Otherwise I really like it; no regrets leaving GM.

Owned a JX35 for 13 Months

We bought our JX35 fully loaded graphite shadow back in April 13. Love the car, with the exception of the passenger airbag. Put 17k miles on in the first year as we took it cross country a couple of times. Its a great car for going cross country or just running errands across town. No regrets with the purchase. Its the wife's everyday car. She had '06 Honda Odyssey previously. Enjoy the luxury and tech features. Surprisingly, the heated steering wheel here in Chicago is one or her favorite features :)

This was our 2nd infiniti. I also own a 2003 G35 manual trans. Love that car. I'm an Infiniti fan. I'm hoping my next car is a Q50

Hi. I just wanted to ask if anyone has any further updates on their JX35s? I'm looking to purchased a used one, and really like it in person, but of the two we have test driven, one was only OK, the other was fantastic (really fast, smooth, etc..).

I know that most of the 'professional' reviews out there are pretty mediocre, and I've seen a lot of negative consumer reviews, but just wanted to ask here as well and see what everything thinks.

Thanks!

recently purchased 2013 jx35 myself

I know what you mean about the reviews... we went shopping for a car this past weekend and the JX35 was not even on the radar - however, we found one on the lot and test drove it along with our other choices. The kicker for us was the seating flexibility, you can actually seat a full sized adult in the third row! comfortably. it is loaded with all the features and had only 20K as it was a leased truck. There were a couple of minor nicks in the bumpers but overall the truck is in immaculate condition. We did last minute research over lunch to decide but felt that the low mileage and consistent high ratings for the power train gave us confidence that this was a good truck. Weirdly, the JX35 does not score well on many of the review criteria but we have found it to be a very nice drive so far, and have had no issues... its hard to figure out why people have been giving it poor reviews, you can't get much in terms of detail on the actual issues people have had. could have been anything. In general I think the Nissan/infinity vehicles are well designed and reliable. If the engine is strong and pulls well I would go for it! we have not been disappointed at all.

I have the same problem with my IPhone 6 downloading in last name/first name sequence even though it has a sort order of first name/last name.

Did you find a solution?

I just bought my sister's JX35 and am psyched to own it!
