Hello,

I recently had the recall done for the timing chain on my 2013 QX56. Since I received it back from the dealer I now notice a slight, annoying vibration when I am at a stop light or simply in park while the car is idling only when the AC is on. Every few seconds or so I'll get a vibration. Initially when I got the car back it also had a slight surge when I was in drive gear and holding the brake at stop lights. I took it back to the dealer and they did some type of programming to correct that issue however I still have the annoying slight vibration. FYI I recently purchased the vehicle used a month ago, only had it for a short time and when I took it to the dealer to get checked out before buying they advised me of the timing chain recall so I quickly took it in for the work a short time after my purchase. I'm not even sure if it did it before. Has anyone experienced this to be normal?

this is a rabbit hole and could be anything.

its not normal I can tell you. my car is a 2012 and it is smooth as a baby's bottom.

I encourage you to take it back in and have a tech or master tech for nissan come and ride with you so you can show them. this is the best method as anything anyone over the internet can do is speculate--which is not much help.

Thank you and I am indeed taking it back yet a 3rd time. The manager mentioned to me that the car's CPM/CPU needs time to correct itself. I thought this was BS so I am escalating this.

complete BS sir...

My timing chain work had this symptom. Turns out that the timing was a half tick off and they had to break down the entire timing chain area and reset it. No telling what kinda damage I did driving it that way, and I don't think that it was throwing a code until at least 100 miles.

At a tooth off at most, there would be zero damage, at most just some rough running and less efficiency and power.
