I have a 2012 qx56 (fully loaded)that we bought almost 6 years ago with 34k(103k now). We have the Infinity extended warranty and it will be up in February. We planned on getting rid of the car before the warranty was up as I didn’t want the liability of all the bells and whistles this truck has. We ended up buying my wife a new car and we are getting ready to sell this one. We wanted $20k and we have some hail damage that the dealer thought would be around 5k. We were going to sell it to a friend for $15 assuming we get 5k for the hail. I drive an old Pilot and it got me thinking if I sell my Pilot for $5k I could be into this truck for $10k. We love the truck but it really gets beat up online for poor reliability. We had the timing chain recall performed and both cats were recently replaced under warranty. I feel like those are the big issues it gets beat up on. I only drive about 4K-5k a year as my work is super close to my house. Am I setting my self up for trouble by keeping it? One adaptive headlight going out is probably 5 years worth of repairs on my pilot. Lol

had my 12 brand new and never had any issues with it. i make my own decisions and don't rely on "reviews" or what the internet reports. you see "negative" reviews or whatever because happy customers don't necessarily go online to post how great their car is.

cars (any car) is only as good as its previous owners, and ALL car manufacturers have faulty cars come off the lot.

the timing chain recall was that. i had it done but never had any issues prior to that. other than that i had zero issues with my fully loaded 2012 awd. i drove it like a rental and kept up on the maintenance as recommended by nissan. 96k miles later and it's still solid and worry free.

seems like you don't have much faith in your car anymore, so may be best to get rid of it for your peace of mind.
