I have a 1995 infinity j30. It runs fine at the moment but has an oil leak. Its a rather slow leak. I took it to a mechanic and he said its leaking from the cam seals and some valves(i forget exactly where). The estimated repair is 600$. The car has 171000 miles. My two questions are, Will the leak get worse? and how quickly? Basically how much longer can i expect from the car assuming nothing else major goes wrong? And should i spend the money for the repair or just save up for the new car?
Thanks :)

Well it really depends on how long you wann akeep the car....I had to have the oil pan gasket repalced in May and it was almost $400 to replace. The part is cheap, but the makers at Infiniti didn't make replacing the gaskets easy to replace...it is very labor intensive........It started out as a minor leak but it did get worse to the point that it was smoking, so I had to eventually have it replaced. I'm happy i did as I was not ready to invest in another car.....I currently have 166,00 miles on it....
