roof rack versus bumper mounted version for infiniti m35?

help......i just purcahsed a used infiniti (M35 model) and wish to get a rack to transport my cannondale road bike. while i know there is a type taht is mounted on the bumper (looks very easy to attach onto a SUV!!!!),is that type also compatible with passenger casrs????


any details are greatly appreciated......COST, too!!!
