I just got a new battery and when I left the shop, my automatic windows no longer worked. Well, they work, but they only go down now. I have to manually keep the "up" button depressed to get them back up. I realize this is an ultimate first world problem...but still, I'd like them to function as they're supposed to.

This has happened in the past after I've had work done, but it was always temporary and seemed to fix itself after one or two tries. This time, they're not fixing themselves.

Any idea how to get my auto-windows to re-engage?

Thanks!

i think you just have to roll it down, hold the button to make them go up, and keep holding it for a few seconds after they close. do that for each one.

Forgot to post an update. The hold button trick worked. Thanks so much for the suggestion.

Strangely, my moon-roof was already still functioning on auto-open and auto-close though. Didn't need the fix.

yeah it's weird, i've had to reset the windows on both of my cars a bunch of times...but have never needed to reset the sunroof.
