Hello everyone,

We have a 2011 QX56 with the auto leveling rear suspension. The vehicle dances around really bad on the highway when we hit any type of bump especially from the left rear side. It will get your attention if you're not ready for it that's for sure!

I am suspecting it may be the shocks, rear lower arms or the air ride compressor. So, what are my options and what is the best solution for this? Replace the current air bags with aftermarket or converting to non-air ride? I do virtually no towing with this car.

Thanks

We finally diagnosed the fault, the rear lower arm suspension front was broken and the suspension was just hanging. No surprised about the vigorous shaking on the high way especially when a bump is hit.

Any names for aftermarket air suspension companies that work on a 2011 Q? I have had my air ride looked at and parts replaced and every time I hook up my trailer it still sags. The trailer is balanced correctly. The Q just got out of extended warranty so no more dealer trips unless really needed. TIY

I have a 2008 4x4 qx56, mine dances wildly also. Because I pull a heavy utility trailer, 2,500-pounds. I have never had a suspension airbag blow out while pulling a trailer, I did have one blow out just sitting in my driveway, sounded like a 10-gauge shotgun went off. I went to the front of the house to see if trespasser had shot. I am thinking about replacing the rear axle and adding Monroe heavy shocks. My air compressor has gone out, and Sewell in Dallas wants $500.00 for replacement

Does anyone know if there is a kit to get rid of the rear air suspension?

I replaced my rear air suspension with a parts list I found on another forum (or maybe this one). Worked like a charm and rides brand new. I'll post pics if I can.

Rancho RS9000XL adj shock absorbers
Moog 81085 coil springs (more heavy duty than stock)
Firestone Ride-Rite 4150 air bag supports

Simple to install everything and took less than two hours.

Edit: I guess I don't have enough posts to attach pics.
